I am the proud mother of a child with ASD. He is the most beautiful, wonderful, human being that has ever walked the earth. It is a pleasure to be his mom.

My son, too. He's a great kid and the older we too get, the more I appreciate his ASD gifts- he is the most empathetic person I know. Very intelligent, mature beyond his years in some ways and delayed in other ways.
It's those sensory issues that drive me nuts. But sensory issues are the way he sometimes "gets it" before everybody else does- a person with ASD figures something out before neurotypical people do...it's amazes me.
